Cucumber and Celery Green Juice this recipe

This Cucumber and Celery Green Juice is so refreshing and simple. Juicing can add a ton of variety to your diet while helping you get the necessary nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Since virtually every health authority recommends that we get six to eight servings of fruits and vegetables per day, juicing is an easy way to guarantee that you will reach your daily target.

Additionally, juicing is a great way to detox your body and give your digestive organs a much needed rest. The ideal time to drink a juice is on an empty stomach. This maximizes the amount of nutrients absorbed into the body. Of course, juices are still loaded with health benefits even if you can’t drink them on an empty stomach.

Cucumber and Celery Green Juice - 2

I prefer to drink juices the same day they are pressed. As soon as any juice meets the air it begins to oxidize, compromising its nutritional value. However, storing juices in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed glass jar slows this process and allows juices to typically last an extra 1-2 days.

          Hi Rachel!

I usually do not add water to my juices. However, if I am splitting a juice with my husband, which is more often than not, I will add water so that my portion fills up a mason jar.

If you aren't sure what to do, I would make the juice first with no water, and if you want more or the flavor is too strong, then add some water!

YES! I actually drink plain celery juice every morning for my digestion. It works wonders. I've read cucumbers can be amazingly useful in controlling high blood pressure, so your mom should definitely try it out 🙂

I tend to prefer granny smith apples because they are lower in sugar 🙂

This was delicious! Thank you for sharing. My kale went bad so I didn't put that in there, but I added some parsley.
