Fennel Infused Pear Limeade

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces or 4 handfuls arugula
  • 2 fennel bulbs
  • 2 bartlett pears
  • 1/2 - 1 lime (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Instructions:
  2. First, clean and cut all of your veggies and fruit.
  3. Starting with the arugula, roll large handfuls of the leaves and cut into thin strips. This will help feed the arugula through the shoot of your juicer.
  4. Next, slice the white bulb of your fennel. I like to cut these roughly the size of an apple slice.
  5. Alternating between the arugula and fennel, feed into your juicer. The fennel will help push the argula through the juicer.
  6. Repeat with your sliced pears and peeled lime until all produce has been juiced. Additionally, the lime can be hand squeezed. The hand squeeze method will help you control the tartness of your drink with more accuracy.
  7. Remove any air bubbles or foam that has surfaced to the top of your drink. This is easily done with a spoon.
  8. If you prefer to remove the pulp prior to drinking, strain the juice through a cheesecloth.
  9. Pour in your favorite glass and enjoy!!
